Road, Rail and Air

By road, Ickornshaw and Cowling are accessible via the A6068 and the B6265, which connect the villages to nearby towns such as Keighley and Skipton. These towns offer more extensive road connections, including the A65, which connects to the M65 motorway and provides access to larger cities such as Leeds and Bradford.

The nearest railway station to Ickornshaw and Cowling is Steeton and Silsden railway station, which is about 4 miles away. From there, visitors can take trains to destinations such as Leeds, Bradford, and London.

By air, the nearest airport is Leeds Bradford Airport, which is located about 22 miles away. This airport offers flights to destinations throughout the UK, as well as to destinations in Europe.

Bus Services

General

The main bus service that covers cowling valley is the M4 bus, this bus has many stops on the edge of Ickornshaw. The M4 runs from Keighley Bus station to Burnley Bus station, via Cross Hills and Colne.

School Services

For secondary schools there is a bus service (975) that starts just outside the hamlet, that provides transport to South Craven School in Cross Hills, and the three Secondary Schools in Skipton.

Due to the majority of Ickornshaw just being outside the 3 mile limit most children get free bus travel to the Secondary schools.
